Pre-heat oven to 375 F. In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add the egg to creamed mixture and beat well until creamy. In a separate bowl sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add the sifted flour mixture to the creamed ingredients and mix well with a wooden spoon. Add milk and continue to mix well. Add the lemon juice, cranberries and nuts. Mix again. Drop the cookie dough by the teaspoonful onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen cookies. These freeze well.
