Spiced Nuts


  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tspns ground cinnamon
  • ½ Tspn ground nutmeg
  • ½ Tspn ground ginger
  • ¼ Tspn ground cloves
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 Tbspn white
  • 4 cups of your favourite mixed nuts (cashews, almonds, pecans, walnuts)


Combine the first six ingredients in a small bowl. In a medium glass bowl, beat the egg white until frothy. Add the sugar mixture and stir well. Add the nuts and stir well to coat. Spread the nuts onto a greased baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 325 F for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring often until nuts are golden. Cool thoroughly. Store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated. Makes 6 cups.
