Fresh Cherry Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of pitted fresh sweet cherries
  • 2 tbsp of fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tbsp of green peppers, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp of lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp of lemon peel, grated
  • 1/8 tsp of sea salt
  • dash of bottled hot pepper sauce

Instructions

Chop cherries manually or in a food processor. Combine all ingredients; mix well. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Makes 2 servings.

This salsa goes well with pork, chicken and turkey. Great on top of leftover turkey or meat sandwiches.
