Breakfast Smoothie


  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 scoop or about ½ cup of non-fat vanilla ice cream or low fat vanilla yogurt
  • 5 ice cubes
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey
  • ¾ cup of skim milk
  • extra berries for garnish (about 1 tablespoon)


In a blender, combine all the ingredients and put the lid on. Blend on high until smooth. Pour into two glasses and garnish with some extra berries. Makes 2 servings. This recipe can be doubled and will give you four servings.
