
- ½ cup sodium reduced soy sauce
- 1 ½ tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp dry white wine
- 1 tbsp packed brown sugar
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 3 small heads romaine lettuce, cut in half lengthwise and rinsed well under cold water

In a blender or food processor process soy sauce, sesame oil, wine, brown sugar, and ginger until thoroughly combined. Brush lettuce with this marinade. Place lettuce; cut sides down, in centre of cooking grate. Grill 5 to 7 minutes, turning and brushing with marinade halfway through grilling time. Makes 6 servings. Grilled romaine can be served as a green vegetable with your meal.
